Goals and Objectives

The primary goal of the Mintify project was to develop an MVP of a B2B platform that simplifies the process of creating, minting, and releasing NFTs for brands. The objectives were to provide a user-friendly interface that eliminates the need for technical knowledge, offer a seamless end-to-end NFT creation workflow, and empower businesses to leverage the potential of NFTs in their advertising campaigns. The platform aimed to enable brands to create personalized Web 3.0 experiences, drive engagement with their target audience, and tap into the growing market of NFTs.

Design Process

The design process for Mintify began by gaining a deep understanding of the target audience, the needs of brands, and the challenges they face in creating and managing NFTs. This involved conducting market and technology research, analyzing competitor offerings, and studying real-world use cases of NFTs in advertising campaigns. With these insights, we embarked on an iterative design process that involved ideation, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.

Close collaboration and open communication were maintained throughout the design process. Regular coordination with development and marketing teams ensured both technical feasibility and alignment with the product vision. User testing feedback was systematically analyzed and integrated into design refinements, with iterations continuing until the solution fully addressed brand needs while meeting all project goals and objectives.

The design process also involved creating custom user flows, defining key features such as no-code NFT creation, NFT store building, API integration, and payment in USD. Attention was given to the visual identity, creating a recognizable and innovative style for Mintify.

Overall, the design process for Mintify was driven by a user-centric approach, constant collaboration, and a focus on delivering a comprehensive and user-friendly platform that empowers brands to create and manage their NFTs with ease.

User Research & Insights

During the market and technology research phase, an extensive analysis was conducted on Metaverse case studies from various brand advertising campaigns. Additionally, thorough technical research was carried out to determine the optimal blockchain network for the platform. After evaluating options including Polkadot, Solana, Avalanche, Ethereum, and Polygon, it was concluded that both the Ethereum and Solana networks would be well-suited choices. Ethereum offers a secure system and enjoys robust community support, while Solana stands out with its lower gas costs and faster transaction speeds facilitated by its limited number of validators.

Extensive research was conducted on the main minting flows of popular NFT platforms and niche tools. This analysis revealed an important insight regarding the process of creating smart contracts. It was found that while technically necessary, this step could be made optional from a user experience perspective. As a result, a hidden and automated approach was implemented to simplify the process for users who may not be familiar with the intricacies of the Web 3.0 world.

Moreover, standard and key settings for creating an NFT were identified during the research. For example, the significance of lazy mining was recognized, enabling users to conveniently pay for gas at the point of sale, streamlining the transaction process.

The main features were given significant emphasis, including the seamless creation of NFTs, the availability of power-ups, seamless integration with webpages and APIs, the convenience of payment in USD instead of cryptocurrency, the automatic generation of smart contracts, and the unique capability to mint all NFTs in a single transaction.

User Flow

Customized user flows were crafted for various processes including NFT creation, distributions, and web page template creation. The management system is structured into distinct sections, namely the Dashboard, Collections & NFTs, and Releases pages. Although there was a consideration for a dedicated analytics page, we opted for concise and informative data blocks within the Releases and NFTs pages. Additionally, distinct layouts were designed for admin, user, and manager roles, ensuring tailored access levels for each.

Ideation

Informed by user research insights, Mintify's ideation phase involved creative brainstorming and exploration of innovative solutions. Design thinking methodologies were utilized to generate ideas and concepts addressing identified pain points and improving the user experience. The process encompassed sketching, wireframing, and low-fidelity prototypes to visualize and validate potential design directions. Collaborative workshops and iterative feedback loops refined and selected the most promising ideas for further development.

Impact & Results

Following the launch of Mintify, the impact was evident in the positive reception from brands and businesses. The platform quickly gained traction in the market, attracting a significant number of users who were eager to explore the potential of NFTs for their advertising campaigns.
